Our new venture has so far been a lot of fun! We have never spent so much money on furniture and accessories. We have created two beautiful lodges which sleep up to 12 each. We have a lovely Lodge Manager (Rae Guard) who is doing a great job. We have had a lot of family and friends of people getting married at The Red Barn, stay at the Lodge. Sometimes the bride and groom get ready there also, or honeymoon there (on their own). It’s a great place for a special family occasion – we have hosted a 70th birthday weekend where 23 family members all stayed and ate at the Lodge.
We are also branching into Luxury groups looking to stay at the Lodge and do farm tours. We have had great responses from overseas tourists who just love patting Big Red (our friendly cow) and visiting Top Notch Calves to have their hands sucked by hungry calves. The things we all take for granted!
